Q: I am new to the server. What is MATO?
A: The Minecraft Alliance Treaty Organization controls CrunchyTaco's countries and players. It is the overall government system. We have four parts: the Court for individual criminal cases, a Commission that decides new rules and how to enforce them, a Parliament that discusses issues, and a Secreteriat-General that administers MATO's work.
Q: I'd like to join MATO. How do I join?
A: We're excited to work with you! Your country must be recognized by MATO/OTAM first, which you can check using our maps on this webpage. Then, send a letter via Minecraft to the Secreteriat-General that you'd like to be added to the Organization. Please include:
Your State's Name
Your Designee's MC Username (if other than the person signing the book)
Your Discord Username
Any additional information
Q: How do I get recognized by MATO/OTAM?
A: Please send a screenshot of your prospective state to the Secretariat-General at @evanteen on Discord, and the Commission will vote on how we will create your borders and recognize your state. You should include any requests you'd like with your screenshot, including your state name (or it will be 'State of YOUR MC USERNAME').
Q: Do I have to follow MATO/OTAM rules if I am not a member?
A: No, as long as you are NOT within a MATO/OTAM region or member state, as shown on our maps, you are not required to follow our rules. However, you are subject to our rules if you enter our areas.
Q: How do I change my state's name, designee, or other information?
A: Send a letter to the Secreteriat-General.
